Sarah Tatlock is, among other things, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) and Political Science and from Columbia University in 2012 with Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Policy Analysis.
From there, she moved home to Maine and served adults, children, and families from all walks of life navigate the hectic world of social, mental health, and medical services. With more than 12 years of experience in the field, she worked as a Case Manager, Utilization Reviewer, Behavioral Health Services Manager, Director of Children's Services, Early Childhood Clinician, and Policy Writer. Her approach to clinical work is grounded in care and an understanding of how policy and programming on federal and state levels impact people "on the ground." In short, she is not your typical touchy-feely social worker (not that there's anything wrong with that).
In 2019, Sarah began talking to people about relationships. What started as a sociological dive into modern relationships led to the discovery of a large gap in services for the polyamorous, non-monogamous, and kink communities. After starting to work more with people in these communities as a telehealth therapist in the post-COVID world, Many Hearts Therapy was born. As humans, we are complicated; but underneath it all we are driven by our hearts.
Sarah lives with her dog, splitting their time seasonally between Maine and San Diego, California. She likes to bake, play basketball, swim, and practices self care Sundays.
